Help & FAQ

Common questions about events, CFPs, reviewing, and pricing.

How do I list an event?
From the navbar, choose "Create Event" and fill in the Basic Information, Location, and Dates & Times sections. Set Status to "Published" when you're ready for it to be publicly visible, or leave it as "Draft" while you finish setting it up.
How do I open a Call for Papers (CFP)?
Open your event's page and click "Add Call for Paper." Set a submission deadline with its date, time, and timezone — once that deadline passes in the selected timezone, the CFP closes automatically. You can also close it manually at any time using the "Stop Accepting Submissions" button.
How do I invite reviewers to a CFP?
From the CFP page, send a reviewer invite by email. The invitee receives a link to accept the invite and sign in; once accepted, they can score and comment on submissions for that CFP only.
Who can see review feedback on a submission?
You control this per CFP with a visibility setting: feedback can be kept private to each reviewer, shared between all reviewers, shown to the submitter, or made fully open.
Does Happalo sell tickets?
No. Happalo lists whether an event is free or paid and, for paid events, the ticket price and currency — but registration and payment happen on your own registration page, linked from the event.
Are free events limited by my plan?
No — you can list unlimited free events on any plan. Plan limits (Community, CFP Starter, Conference Pro) only apply to paid events, and to CFPs and reviewers on plans that support CFP management. See the Pricing page for details.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Visit the Pricing page to compare plans, or check your current plan and usage from your profile page.
Can I bookmark or follow events and organisers?
Yes. Use the bookmark button on an event page to save it for later, and the follow button on an organiser's profile to get notified when they publish new events.
